There is something about family pictures that brings out the best in everyone. Sarcasm Intended Something about making your kids perfect without having naps that isn't fun to do... but is usually worth it. No matter what it's something we are all glad we did.

This actually took place about a month ago, but I figured out how to post video so I am posting it now. Ellie was flawless she did very well. Her Teachers love her because she is so friendly with the other kids and by far the most animated and fun. She knows all her letters and the sounds they make, she can count to 30 and recognize almost all the numbers on paper. Teachers told us she is very ready for Kindergarten next year.

My girls (bless their hearts) are not very fleet of foot. They are in fact slow runners just like their Dad. They do have pretty good hand- eye coordination but when it comes to the use of their legs and awareness …well…they run into walls and trip over my shoes and it creates lots of scrapes and tears. We have not however had any emergencies…until now!
Ellie had a primary activity on Friday and she was super excited. She has lots of friends and just loves hanging out with other kids. The activity was to be held at out good friends house “The Hearn’s”. They have 3 girls just like we do and at the same age. They also have a really big backyard and had just purchased an in ground trampoline and a Big Wood Jungle Gym. With these big purchases they had taken every procotion to keep everyone safe by putting shredded up tires beneath the Jungle Gym it looks better then it sounds and it is SUPER SOFT. They also put the trampoline in ground and with a net all around it. No one can get hurt right? He He…. Ellie was playing on a platform of the Jungle Gym that sits about 7 ft above the ground and was blowing bubbles and giggling, having a good ole time. She went to stand up, fell forward and plummeted face first 7 ft to the ground and smacked her face on the metal step ladder. Ouch… Now before I go into the extent of the injury let me tell you that Ellie had a loose tooth, her first on the bottom front row. I tried to get it out but Ellie fears all pain and avoids it like the plague. She is very cautious and careful when she rides her bike, runs, jumps etc. She does not take uncalculated risk. You can say Ellie is the exact opposite of Carson Zierse who seems to seek out risk taking and pain. Anyway I digress. Ellie lost her tooth next to the one that was loose by acting like she was a dog and holding onto a blanket it was yanked out. Loose tooth still standing.
Now back to the FALL. Ellie smacked her face on that metal step and knocked out another tooth and we thought she drove the tooth into her gums because it was split and bleeding and we saw something white down in there. Funny thing about all this is Ellie’s tooth that has been REALY LOOSE for at least 2 weeks is still there. She has busted out her other two in unconventional ways. I digress again….sorry!!!!
We had to find a Dentist on a Friday night around 6pm so we could take care of her. Everyone in the ward was so helpful and giving us advise on who we should go see Cousins, Brothers, Sisters who are dentists and we could call but no one was answering their emergency phones. Emily and I decided to go home and just Google some Dentists and see who we could find. I remembered that my Best Friend growing up has a Brother that is a Dentist here in Las Vegas. Dr. Spencer Luth came to our rescue, returned my call and gave up his Friday night to help Ellie. When we got there, Ellie was fine, she was laughing and being happy like she always is…(probably because she ate like six popsicles in 10 minutes) There had to be some king of pain killer in those things because we found out in the Dentist chair that her tooth didn’t drive itself into the gums it was a broken bone. Mom before you freak out it wasn’t a jagged jaw bone thrusted into her mouth; it is the bone that holds the teeth in. Not as dramatic but nevertheless it was broken. Dr.Luth was able to stitch it up and said Ellie will be fine and he will check on her in a week. Ellie is doing great and is back to her normal self. She handled this whole thing like a champ and handled the pain very well. I don’t however believe she will start taking risks. She still fears pain and will indubitably fear any kind of fall, even the one where she trips over her own feet or Daddy’s shoes.

I have a confession to make, I was walking through the park with my youngest and saw some 5 year old boys playing Baseball. A tear came to my eye with the thought that I may never get that(with a boy). I love my 3 girls more then anything but I am worried I will end up with 4 girls and live a drama filled life (not that there is anything wrong with that.) I know everyone has there own perspective about how many kids you should have. When Emily asked me about how many Children I wanted I told her that I thought it should be up to the Women because they are the ones doing all the work. (Well most of it.) Emily told me she would like to have between 4-6 and if things feel really good then 8. She has refused to have an odd # so 3,5,7 won’t happen because she said one will be left out when we go to Disneyland. Hence, in her mind we are committed to at least 4 now. I really don’t think we/she wants 6 so I have one more legitimate shot.
I know just having Children is a huge blessing and I love all my Children no matter what their gender. I just want that bond between Males like my Dad and I have. No emotional things to deal with, just a phone call of the most current sporting event, golf outing whatever. Ellie is already hassling me about how much I watch sports on TV and she’s only 5. I am getting double teamed on that front, its hard enough negotiating that time with Emily now I have Ellie, with Mylee and Tessa getting older. Ahhhhhhhhh!
My point? I know God has a plan and is teaching me a lesson, and that is I have to figure out Women better for my eternal well being that I have yet to figure out. Gods plan is blessing me with Women. until I can pass the Women test. I at least get one more shot because we are at an odd number with 3. So in my estimation I have about a year to figure out this puzzle. I have three things that I am unwilling to give up in this process. I know its sounds like an ultimatum but it's not. Ok what am I kidding it is but I believe God and my girls will humor me.
1. Watching sports on TV. It is what I love and it’s my vice. Be happy that its not, alcohol, drugs, gambling or other bad things which I won’t mention here.
2. Playing Sports. This includes Golf, softball, basketball Ping pong or whatever gets my competitive juices flowing which will include Video Games sports. Go ahead and laugh I don’t care.
3. Women Activities. I don’t go to pedicures, gynecologists, or purchase girls underwear. I will on occasion pick up women products if need be but only on emergencies. Do not take advantage of this or I will take advantage of any of the two above.
Things I will do?
1. I will listen to the Drama. I will listen to my girls when they have a problem and I will do my best NOT to be the man in shining armor and try to fix everything (that’s the only way I thought I can stop the drama) I learned this the hard way. I will bite my tongue and just listen. This will become much harder as my girls get older, so I believe I earned my right to the three above for this one thing alone
2. I will figure out your Love Language. My wife is famous for this. Yes men there are 5 love languages and your job is to figure out which one is theirs. The five that my wife tells me are: Acts of service, Physical Touch, Words of affirmation. Ok so I can only remember three. I will add
1a) Learn all five love languages. I should know these better maybe that is a reason God continues to bless me with girls.
3. Be a Strong Priesthood Holder. Last but not least. I will commit to running FHE every Monday night. Read my scriptures and Pray as a family. Fulfill all my callings and run my household the way I have been taught to run it.
There you go. This is a proclamation to everyone including God. I know this test on earth is suppose to be hard but PLEASE allow me to have one boy to ease the difficulty a bit. Anyone with advice is welcome to comment. Again, I am very happy with my Girls and wouldn’t trade them for a Boy or anything else! My Girls make me happy and I will continue to be happy even if my 4th is a Girl. It will obviously just mean I have more to figure out.

Emily and I have 3 girls Ellie 5, Mylee 3, and Tessa 1 Year. They are everything to us and we couldn’t be happier with our Happy Healthy Girls!!!
Ellie is our social butterfly she will speak to anyone anywhere and is not afraid to talk about anything. Usually she will start her conversations (again w/ anyone) with the most dramatic thing that has happened to her in the last hour good or bad. She is always friendly and can make friends with anyone because of that great quality. She is also very observant and has a very good memory. (always corrects her Dad on all musical lyrics) she recites movie quotes and loves to have people laugh with her and her laugh warms your heart. She loves to use big words and if you say a word she doesn’t understand she asks for the definition and most cases uses it in a sentence weeks later. She also has taken on Dad’s bad habit of using the word that rhymes with RAM. Emily made some English muffin breakfast sandwiches with Bacon and Eggs. After we blessed are food we all ate in great haste, seconds later Ellie exclaims…RAM! That is some good bacon!!!! We should not have laughed but we could not help it. She is so innocent! Her Dad will be held accountable in the afterlife I am sure of it. She follows her Mother with great motherly qualities and takes great care of all her Sisters and Dad! We are lucky to have her spirit in our home.
Mylee is a little bit more reserved then Ellie but she can ham it up with the best of them. Mylee loves to play with Ellie. I would say she loves to play Mommy and Daddy the most and plays the Daddy. When she does play Daddy she lowers her voice as low as she can go and says…..Hey WIFE!!!! Of course Mylee has a bit of a lisp and I can in no way give that phrase justice by writing it. Next time you speak to Emily ask her to do it for you. It cracks me up every time.
Mylee also likes to Run, Dance, and just cuddle up with her Mom. She is skin and bones and can Hip Hop and twirl in her Dress with the best of them. Her smile is infectious and her top phrase whenever we are together “We a happy famy” gets me every time. She also likes to say “You the BEST (Mommy)(Daddy) in my whole life” whenever she gets attention which SHE LOVES!!!!! She expresses her love for her whole family every chance she gets both Mom Dad and her Sisters love it. She is in one word a “Sass” and will let you know when she’s not happy but that is more the exception then the rule. Our hearts are clearly pierced and lightened whenever she enters our presence.
Tessa of course is already a year old. Time flies. She is in one word an Angel. . She loves cuddling with her Mom and Dad and loves just being happy. Her eyes tell you everything she is feeling Happy, Sad, Constipated, Angry, you name it you’ll know it by those huge dark beautiful cartoonish eyes. She also has the most blood curling scream you will ever hear, and I am not being dramatic, it is LOUD and she is not afraid to belt it out. She definitely has the Zierse lungs! In church last week she was playing standing up holding herself up on the bench when she miss calculated the distance to catch herself and smacked her face on the wood. I grabbed her quickly and saw that she was building up her scream. I streamlined her to the door as fast so I would not disturb the peace but to no avail. She screamed in the highest pitch I have ever heard and right into my ear. (I still can’t hear out of it completely). It woke everyone in a 2 mile radius, even the dead. It was justified she was bleeding but she didn’t cry much after that, she got it all out with that one scream. She is our little Tessa Bess and like a said a complete Angel!!!!
I am sure I missed a lot of what I could say. They are our Joy! We really are as Mylee would say a “Happy Famy!!!!”

I have some very talented bloggers in my family so I am hesitant to take on a project where my writing skills will be on display. However, I do feel that my immediate family has lots to share and we have been on the outside of this blogger euphoria for way to long. Emily is not ready to start a big project so I will start it and hopefully Emily will add in her tidbits as we go. Those with advise on how to make our blog better please don't hesitate to let us know. Enjoy.
